It’s time for Music NFTs to have a viral moment.

With the space’s biggest drops right around the corner, it’s time to see if Music NFTs have what it takes to capture the attention of both NFT collectors and mainstream fans alike.

My take is we need NFT collectors before we get everyday fans.

Luckily, we’ve got both tracks running simultaneously.

Here’s what to watch for.

Featured Drop - RŌHKI

Episode 1 - Desperado - from RŌHKI Season 1 opens to the public this afternoon.

RŌHKI is the anonymous artist project from IO and HACHI - two immortal characters sharing their experience through the lens of web3 and Music NFTs.

Released as a stealth launch, RŌHKI quietly rolled out rohki.xyz - a fully-custom site paired with the Genesis Keys debuted on Mirror in March.

Now, 500 Music NFTs are set to premiere the launch of the first single “Desperado” at 0.1 ETH per pop.

Unlike other Music NFTs, Desperado will reveal with 3 different rarities:

• Immersive (50) - Full-feature 4K music video.
• Dynamic (150) - Audio-visual highlights.
• Static (300) - Audio + cover art.

The music blends nostalgia with an outer-worldy soundscape set for the big screen.

Today’s mint grants collectors a secret vial - teasing the song and leading up to a full-feature premier of an animated short film next Monday.

Desperado is the first of six episodes set to go live in Season 1.

If there’s ever been an opportunity to push the Music NFT envelope, this is it.
